There's no better calibrating tool for the soul than nature herself. This time, she is the Portuguese Bend Reserve in Palos Verdes and we were fortunate to catch her amidst the Spring when the wild mustard flowers are most beautifully rampant.
Ever since I was young, I'd always question why wild flowers weren't treated the same as the often genetically modified store bought flowers but instead are plucked and discarded. Fortunately, as our consciousness evolve, it feels like people are becoming more aware of its undeniable beauty, especially here in the city of Long Beach where more residents have begun to incorporate many wild varietals in their landscapes.
